Week 5 High School Football Schedule

Week 5 football in Pinellas County, FL is here. We're at the mid point of the season.  This week promises some thrilling matchups that you won't want to miss. We will also highlight some key games and players to watch. Make sure to mark your calendars and come out to support your local teams.

The Patriots' offensive line helped them defeat the Spartans last week, propelling them to a 3-1 start for the year!

 key games to keep an eye on:

  • #2 Largo (4-0)  vs. #8 Clearwater (1-3) - A clash of two top 10 teams. 
  • #5 St. Petersburg (3-1) vs. # 7 Lakewood (2-2)- A rivalry game with inner city bragging rights
  • Boca Ceiga (1-2) vs. Northeast (1-3) - A battle of south county they both have something to prove.

These games are sure to be competitive and could have a significant impact on the standings.

Player Spotlights

This last week, several players showed the potential to make a big impact. Keep an eye on these standout athletes:

  • Zahmir McNeil & Kaiden Knobles (Pinellas High) - A versatile duo for the patriots have them rolling right now. 
  • Mason Starke (Seminole) - An ATH that has been outstanding and has established himself as a candidate for Player of the Year.
  • Anthony Harris (Largo High) - A dynamic playmaker that gives the Packers a chance to win when he's in the lineup!
  • Collin Cervoni (Seminole) - RB that has put up impressive numbers, actually the best in the state.
  • Greg "Tank" Thomas (Clearwater Central Catholic)- Has been a nightmare on a loaded defense. He has next level written all over him!

These players have been performing at a high level all season and are expected to continue their strong play.

No 6 Jeff Jones is back after serving a 1-game suspension and looks to prove he's still that guy as the Green Devils heads down to Lakewood in a heated week 5 match up!
