Week 2 Schedule
Week 2 Schedule
Week 2 is here, and this week will feature some of our ranked teams going head-to-head. This will be a crucial week that could separate the pretenders from the contenders. It's still early, but we can learn a lot from Week 2!
Week 2 Match-ups
*Sebring vs #1 Clearwater Central Catholic
- CCC and Sebring have a shared history; the head coaches for both schools played together in college at the University of Miami. However, this shared history means very little when both teams are vying for a state title. With CCC holding an edge and showing eagerness to compete, and Sebring, as usual, ready to pose a challenge for the Marauders, the game promises to be an exciting one. The Blue Streak handled their business last week against Martin County and is now seeking to avenge last year's loss. This game is one to watch, as it's sure to be a interesing matchup.
Perdiction: CCC 24 Sebring 20
First Baptist vs #2 Calvary Christian
*Wiregrass Ranch vs #3 Clearwater
- There's a big game coming up at Jack White Stadium, with plenty of talented players taking the field. The (Wiregrass) Bulls, led by 4-star DB Graceson "Gray" Littleton (Clemson Commit) and 3-star ATH Bryce Randolph (Liberty), are currently 1-0 after a convincing 48-7 win over Cypress Creek last week. The Tornados will have the home-field advantage, and Quarterback Jaylen White is known for his home game prowess, especially after last week's big win over Bartow High!
Perdiction: Wiregrass 28 Clearwater 35
*#7 Largo vs #4 Lakewood
-The Spartans face another tough test this week as the Largo Packers travels down to south St.Pete in hopes of maintaining their unbeaten record (1-0). Last week, the Packers narrowly won against Pinellas Park and are aiming to stay on course. Meanwhile, Lakewood was in a barn burning themselves against the Northeast vikings, edging them out 13-10. However the Spartans are determined to showcase their status as one of the top teams in the area. To succeed, the Spartans' defense must effectively handle QB Xavier Phillips and ATH Anthony Harris. Largo consistently gives the Spartans, fits so I anticipate an exciting and competitive game.
Perdiction: Lakewood 21 Packers 14
#5 Tarpon Springs vs Palm Harbor University (Clash of the Coast)
Perdiction: Tarpon Springs 38 PHU 14
#6 St.Pete vs #10 Boca Ceiga
-In an electrifying showdown, all of South County will have their eyes fixed on the upcoming game as fierce neighborhood rivals battle it out for bragging rights and the chance to showcase their dominance to all other teams in the area. Both teams boast formidable defensive prowess and offensive firepower. St.Pete's ATH Jeff Jones is a force to be reckoned with, but the Pirates' ATHs Walt Flournory and Kyree Jenkins are determined to keep them in check. This game promises to be an absolute thrill!
Perdiction: St.Pete 28 Boca Ciega 20
#9 Eastlake vs #8 Pinellas Park
Best of the Rest
Palm Harbor vs Tarpon Springs
Osceola vs Dunedin (Thurs) Final: *Osceola 35 - Dunedin 0
